Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for Busy Toddler Mums

Stuck on what to get that busy toddler mum in your life? Chances are that she’ll have to share whatever it is you get her with her toddler anyway, so here are some toddler friendly (and some that aren’t!) gift ideas.

Dried flowers bouquet

Who doesn’t love a bunch of fresh flowers? They smell good, they brighten up the place, and they just lift the spirits. The only downside is that they don’t list very long, and when you’re spending £20 plus on a gift, you want it to last as long as possible. That’s where dried flowers come in. You can get some absolutely beautiful dried flower arrangements these days, and they last a lot long than fresh flowers. You can also find some really good artificial dried flowers which have the potential to last forever.

Sweet tree / chocolate bouquet

Sticking with the theme of finding something to replace the traditional bouquet of flowers, we have the sweet tree and chocolate bouquet. Although to be honest, these wouldn’t last any longer than a bunch of flowers in this house! There are some amazing looking sweet trees and chocolate bouquets out there, and if you’re feeling particularly crafty, you could put one together yourself, using their favourite sweets and chocolate. Check out funkyhampers.com for some chocolate bouquets that include gin, Yankee Candles, flowers, and more!

Hamper

While we’re talking about hampers, they make an excellent gift too. Make up hampers, skin care, knitting stuff, alcohol, coffee – the possibilities are endless. You can purchase ready made hampers from places like Amazon, choose an online company to put one together for you, or make one up yourself. We made up a few hampers for family members last Christmas, and it was a really fun, affordable way of making a personalised present for them.

Matching outfits

Babybel is at the age now where she is aware of what we’re wearing, and gets really excited if her outfit is similar to mine. We don’t have any matching outfits at the moment, so I think this would be a great idea, as the excitement on her face when she realises we’re wearing the same would be amazing to see.

Personalised matching bath robes

Everyone loves a new snuggly dressing gown, and these personalised matching ones are adorable. We’ve spent quite a few hours snuggled up in our robes this winter in an effort to keep heating costs down, so new dressing gowns would be ideal. Find them here.

Hand casting kit

We had Babybel’s hands and feet casted when she was a few months old, and I’d love to make it a regular thing, maybe even make it a family thing with all three of us included. A DIY casting kit seems like a fun, messy way to create an everlasting cast of our hands.

Coffee machine

Hands up if you’re a parent and feel like you basically live off of coffee? A coffee machine doesn’t really need much explanation and would probably make a very welcome gift. This is the one item on the list that the busy toddler mum won’t have to share with her toddler (not through lack of trying on the toddler’s part though!)

Oil diffuser

I was given an oil diffuser last year, and thought I would use it to spread ambient lighting and  diffuse lovely scents round my home. Instead my toddler likes the multicoloured rainbow lights setting, and we’ve been diffusing eucalyptus, lavender, and cinnamon round the house to ease the seemingly never-ending colds that have hit us this winter. So although I don’t get to use it quite how I expected, it has been an absolute essential these past few months!

Let me know if you’ll be buying any of these gifts for that amazing mum in your life.
